Shows from season 01 – 1997 of Welcome Aboard Live with Mike Pettersson. The first season featured monthly shows. It started out being taped in a Brooklyn apartment. These shows were shot using consumer video cameras and a Numark VAM-2000 switcher. The opening was edited on a PC using ULead editing software. The end credits were created on an Amiga 500.
Starting with the September show, the final 4 shows of the season were taped at the BCAT studio – now BRIC – in downtown Brooklyn. This allowed us to start using what became the more popular “Late Night” format which became staple of the show.
